So there’s a lot of things that I like about you, and think we can talk about a lot today….So how was wrestlemania weekend because I know you were just there. Are you recovered!?

It was wild so we didn’t go to Mania itself which is like the weirdest thing to be like I was in Dallas but I didn’t go to Mania itself but we went to The Collective. We went to 10 different shows.

It was one of the most exhausting weeks of my life. But also one of the very best that I’ve ever had. It was so much fun. I got to see some promotions that I’ve never seen before like Unsanctioned Pro and Black Label Pro and then a bunch of GCW which was just so much fun. Got to see some cool deathmatches and some great lucha! Some great combat sports. It was so amazing.

The highlight for me though…our flight got cancelled so we had to stay an extra day. We went to Monday Night Raw which was really fun I’ve never been to a live tv taping before – and then at the end of the night right before I’m going to go into my uber this SUV pulls up, and The Undertaker walks out of the SUV and walks three feet away from me…I was so stunned I literally started crying and we were hanging out with some of the WWE crew folks – and even they were like I know it’s crazy…and I was just like I’m so sorry I can’t I can’t handle it!

He’s just one of my biggest idols and the reason I like spooky shit and like wrestling and like all these things and I just I couldn’t believe that he was just right there and then as we were marking out over The Undertaker – Kevin Owens walked by and bped into us, and I was just like what is life right now, it was so nuts. One of my favourite weeks I’ve ever had for sure.

And it sounds like your flight getting cancelled was kind of a good thing in the end! In the beginning of this interview I said internet crush for multiple reasons. I don’t know if everyone watching this knows what you do. You’re obviously a pulp culture commentator and content creator. But also you do adult content and are kind of involved in…Well I wouldn’t call it pornography but somewhat pornographic content.

So I kind of want to know… How you kind of found your audience with the wrestling fandom and how you kind of turned that into something with your audience and how you kind of decided to get into adult industry work, because I know before the camera started rolling.

You said you were in the music industry. How did you go from working a pretty “normal” office job to being a full time sex worker and badass person on the internet.

Willow Raven

It’s an interesting journey. So I worked in the music industry for about 10 years and then I actually worked in educational institutions. I worked for nonprofits and universities, and I actually ended up going on stress leave about a year ago – it was right after the pandemic hit – everything was just very stressful, I needed some time and I ended up with all this free time for about three months, and I kept getting people being like hey have you thought about doing adult content? Have you thought about doing OnlyFans? Have you thought about you know doing all these things? And I had this extra time and also needed some kind of supplemental income.

I decided to go ahead and I made myself a pact – I said if I got 24 followers or subscribers within 24 hours I would give it at least a month and I got about 50 subscribers in the first 12 hours which was pretty wild – I was really surprised! And I’m not going to say names or anything but one of the first actually THE FIRST subscriber that I had was a wrestler who had been pretty vocal online in the past about supporting sex workers.

So I had reached out to them before and I’d been like hey I saw that you subscribe to people online. Would you be interested in subscribing to me if I was to create something and they were like absolutely I would so that kind of gave me the confidence! I just think when I first started I was trying to figure out what my voice and branding would be and I kind of was like. Oh, like I’m the hot goth girl and I’m trying to figure it out, but it just wasn’t quite me and so the more that I ended up posting online the more of my own personal personality started coming through, and I was just like you know what? I’m just going to start talking about the stuff that I actually like talking about like I’m going to talk about Taylor Swift, I’m going to talk about wrestling, I’m gonna talk about karaoke, I’m gonna talk about my cat – and I’ve found that especially talking about wrestling…and luckily because there’s always something to talk about with weekly shows, PPVs, different you know internet drama that’s happening or whatever is going on – it’s a really good way to get conversation started with people and being able to kind of show that side of my personality. So that’s kind of where the wrestling and sex work kind of intertwined together.

It wasn’t necessarily a conscious choice of being like my brand is going to be the wrestling hottie! It just kind of…happened. But it has been really good for me. I would say probably 75% of my subscribers are people who found me through wrestling Twitter. I’ve done polls before on my pages being like where have you found me and the majority of people found me through wrestling Twitter, so yeah it’s been awesome!

Yeah! It’s been awesome to be able to kind of use that platform and make it something that you know – I think my genuine love for wrestling comes through and that passion so I think that’s something that attracts people to me in that way.

Lillie

So what you’re saying is that you and me can do a slutty Stone Cold photo shoot together one day, okay amazing because I have a pretty big ass. So I think that we could probably make some good money off those photos.

Willow Raven

Yes, yes, 100! Perfect I’ll do the front you do the back!

Lillie

Yeah, yeah, yeah! Exactly you have the boobs I have the ass. It’s perfect and as you were just talking about everything you just said, you kind of answered one of my questions – because I find that right now OnlyFans especially is so oversaturated with whatever your niche may be – but I think that like the e-girl and the hot big titty goth girl is a really popular I guess subgenre of porn and adult content, but you kind of flipped that and found a niche within that with wrestling.

I find that just to be so brilliant for so many reasons and you kind of answered the question but do you think that you’re subscribers and the people that you are essentially making your content for, kind of fuel your creativity for like all the content you make or are you like whether you’re like masturbating or doing a bondage scene or whatever it is – are you doing that mainly for yourself or for people that may request it or is it kind of both?

Willow Raven

It’s kind of both so I like being able to receive custom content – and seeing what people kind of like to have, so I definitely when I first started I was like okay well I guess I’ll do a bit of masturbation and that’s about it and I don’t really know what else to do – based on the feedback that I’ve received and the custom content requests that I’ve had.

I’ve really expanded what I offer – so I had JOI content which is jerk off instructions which I had never even heard of before I started going into this business. I remember searching on pornhub being like JOI…I needed to see examples. I had to look that up and kind of get some pointers on the same thing with SPH– which is Small Penis Humiliation, which I had no idea about. So, between that and also  I have to say I have to really give credit to a lot of sex workers that I know that I’ve met through either online or in person– who have been so incredibly supportive in being able to answer any questions that I have whether it’s about, you know about content or it’s about pricing– because you know that’s a big thing is like you don’t know what people’s prices are, it’s not like where you know you have an idea of what a coffee costs – so that was really helpful.

But yeah I Really like being able to kind of play off my subscribers and seeing what kind of content they want to see, and kind of catering to that. I really think you hit the nail on the head when you said the word creative because I’ve been able to become more creative as a person. 

Through this work, being able to stretch my acting skills through doing long role plays, I’ve had people ask me to cut promos and things like that, which has been really interesting and kind of given me a new sense of what this job can be. You can make this anything that you want and being able to kind of play around with it has been so much fun!

And I think especially a lot of men think that you know people that are in the adult industry essentially just get paid to get fucked on camera and some people do!

But to your point it’s so much more than that. There’s so many revenue streams that can kind of branch off– I was actually before we hopped on this call reading the article that you wrote about Loyal Fans vs OnlyFans and it was really great by the way and everyone should read it and I’ll try and link it somehow to this interview. The thing that I was blown away with wasn’t any of the content I don’t care about any sex shit, I am so open about that myself – and we’ll get to that in a bit, but the way that everything’s so complicated with pay structures and everything, I was just getting a headache even reading it. So, the fact that so many sex workers whether you’re you know, male, female, NB, transgender are able to do this full time, which is crazy because you are your own company.

For example, I assume that you don’t have a MUA and hairstylist or an assistant. A director, a lighting person – it’s all you! And think that’s another reason I wanted to do a shoot interview with you to I guess to kind of humanize sex workers a little bit – because I think that, even in another interview I saw with you people are very tippy toed around what you do and I don’t think we should be this way. I think sex and sexuality is something especially in western culture is still so taboo and it’s so strange because, I talk to my friends from Europe or other cultures and it’s not as much of a big deal. You can walk around naked infront of your family and it’s not weird, or can talk openly about sex with pretty much anyone and it’s not strange. I find it weird that we’re still facing so much  bullshit in 2022.

So I guess my next question would be, what advice do you have for people who might be interested in getting into some form of adult work? How to deal with all the potential dangers and negativity that might come along with that?

Yeah, it’s definitely one of the major things that I I kind of struggled with before deciding to take the jump and become a sex worker, I was very nervous about how my family, especially would react, friends even especially when I was juggling both jobs (both my office job and my content creation) you know…what happens if my boss finds out? There’s a lot of potential dangers.

One of the things that I don’t think gets talked about enough is that because of the way that you know OnlyFans and Loyal Fans these subscription based sites are structured, so much of it so much of it is to do with the way that you personally interact with people – and so there’s a lot of folks who sometimes get a little bit too attached.  It can get a little scary sometimes.

I’ve had people who you know have tried to find out where I’m going to be so that they can try and meet up with me. And I try to be pretty open and and you know I I say when I go to wrestling shows, and I’m okay with meeting people there but it’s when people try to find out where I am, where I live, what my real name is. All these things that can get really scary really quickly, so that’s a potential danger that I think that people don’t often think about and it’s definitely very real.

So it’s something and I’m saying that 99.9% of my subscribers are incredible people. They’re fantastic, I love talking to them most of the time honestly, I’m talking to them online just about wrestling or about my day, like what movies we watched that night.

But every now and then that one or two people can get a little scary. I’ve had friends who have had stalkers and things like that. Maybe putting together maybe a pros and cons list and seeing what you feel the most comfortable with, and what what you feel you would react to, and you know if you get doxxed, if your boss finds out, it’s a real possibility and it’s something that you really need to think about.I think that a few things like having a separate social media account is huge , keeping that kind of separate. I am pretty much the same person but I use you know a stage name just to keep that separation a little bit. So I think that’s a huge one. Being able to keep some of the things to yourself.

I’m definitely a very open person. I talk about everything. I talk about like when’s the last time I masturbated. I’ll tweet about it! But there’s definitely some things that I keep very close to myself and I think that it’s really really important to keep a part of you that you don’t share with the rest of the world.

Especially online. I’m glad that you spoke about doxxing because I know other women who’ve done camming and stuff who have had to move because of that stuff.

So I definitely wanted to you know, get a sex worker’s opinion on that and and kind of put it in writing. Don’t be a creep! It’s really easy to not be a creep and it’s the same way and it’s funny because we’re going to get back to wrestling in a bit but we’re obviously here to talk about sex for a little bit. It’s like– everyone has a favourite wrestler right?

For me I have so many but right now I’m trying to think of someone who I would mark out meeting. Let’s say Kenny Omega as an example, if I were to know that I was going to meet Kenny Omega in person tomorrow I would probably be pretty chill about it so you should be that way with content creators as well. You know what I mean?

That doesn’t just go for people in the adult industry, it’s everyone and I think that the “Twitterverse” can get quite wild sometimes so it’s so refreshing to see you know more people taking things into their own hands and being like– I have boundaries and if you don’t like them then that’s it.

Yeah, absolutely and I feel like I have some pretty large boundaries in the sense that that I don’t know if that that’s the right way of saying it but, I don’t mind if people come up out to me at a show I don’t mind if someone comes says you know hello or I get messages from people…But! There’s a time and a place and there’s a way to approach someone that isn’t going to be creepy.

And I think we should move on to some lighter content now. I know before we got on here we were talking about what are some sex toys or some things that you use–- like it could be lingerie, it could be a toy, it could be an accessory you are really into using on yourself or on partners right now.

Because, I myself am quite open with my sexuality, I mean I’m 31 and have quite a bit of experience or much to hide, so what better person to talk to about this with? I brought two sex toys with me that I love and I hope someone at Amazon sees this so I can start promoting vibrators and things online. BUT! No I didn’t. It was so busy. I did hook up with someone which was a lot of fun but we didn’t film anything. I tend not to when I’m on my trips just because it’s usually so busy and I don’t want to bring a ring light with me and all these things. And also it’s my vacation!

I like being able to take that time and not think about work for four or five days. But it’s not out of the realm of possibility for future trips.

So every few months we’ll meet up. Okay, so this is a thing that when I first got started was just like why? But a lot of people enjoy having someone rate their dick and so it’s essentially just whether it’s ah you know giving a rating of the actual photo, so sometimes I’ll just be like: the composition of this photo could be better, the lighting’s kind of bad, I can’t see the dick properly. But it’s really about what I think of the length, what do I think of the thickness? What do I think of the overall look? You know if you are trimmed or not, and also just what your dick looks like.

I have multiple options for dick ratings. I have just a letter grade. I have a paragraph writing. I have an audio clip. I have a lingerie video and then I have a topless video! And I think a lot of it comes down to again the personal one on one connection that you have with someone who’s a sex worker that you can’t necessarily have. You know I don’t think with someone like Angela White, you probably can’t get a dick rating from her right?

If you know me and you follow me online you know that I love a death match. I love some blood. I got so into it, it was brutal and high energy and both guys just brought it so hard.

One of the biggest matches was the six way tag team match during Wrld on Lucha with Team Gringo (Abismo Negro Jr, Demonic Flamita & Gringo Loco) vs Team Laredo (ASF, Laredo Kid & Rey Horus) I can’t even remember who else was in it because it was just like a whirlwind and all I remember is ASF blowing my mind – I don’t know if you’ve seen the clips online but he took the biggest jump I’ve ever seen in my life.

Not human! I couldn’t get over it – I jumped out of my seat and couldn’t stop screaming. I was losing my mind. That made the entire week for me. It was wild and yes he’s a small guy so he can get a lot of air – but even knowing that it was nuts.

One of the big ones that I want to say and what made me a Cole Radrick fan was with Cole and Orin Veidt. I saw that live at The Showboat in Atlantic City and what a deathmatch…just wow.

He was on Planet Death as well with Akira which was so great. Akira is another guy that I really like. I just love a death match man! So those are a few that I really really liked.

And I mean there’s so many goddamn things always happening with wrestling and you seem to kind of skew towards GCW if maybe I’m mistaken.

So , who are some of your dream bookings for the next year? I know that GCW isn’t like AEW and WWE where there’s complex storylines…but there kind of are and in some points – but I think that you know A LOT about that promotion. So who are your dream matchups for the next Summer for GCW?

Willow Raven

Oh my gosh that’s a good question! I would love to see and keep in mind I’m not super deep into it – in the sense that these matches may have happened a year or two ago already, because I’ve only been to GCW in the past year or so, but would love to see Hoodfoot g past year or so b Would love to see Hoodfoot and Cole Radrick I think that would be a hell of a death match it would be so much fun! I would love to see more Kit Osburne in some deathmatches, I think he’s awesome and he’s the on point champion right now. His match coming up is against Matt Tremont and I think it’s going to be so dope I’m really really really excited about that one. Has AJ Grey and Akira gone up against eachother yet? I would love to see that.

Yeah I would love to see that, I think that would be a dope match for sure. Also just as a side note – because I’m realising I didn’t mention one of my favourite matches of the weekend was Allie Katch and Dirty Dango – my bisexual heart was screaming the entire time.
